What should we expect from the Katie Price album…
The ‘occupation’ box on her car insurance form must be a difficult one to fill in for Katie Price, she will try her hand at anything. The former glamour-model ‘Jordan’ has confirmed by tweeting a photo, that she is in the process of recording her first début album with her ex-boyfriend Dane Bowers.
Dane, whose biggest hit is Out of Your Mind which features Victoria Beckham and was released in 2001, is producing the album but one can only wonder if he has been listening to the track he did with Posh Spice as some sort of inspiration/ reality check.
‘The Pricey’ as she sometimes refers to herself is no stranger to releasing music. Back in 2005 the then ‘Jordan’ applied to be the UK entrant for the Eurovision song contest. Sadly for the rest of Europe, who were no doubt looking forward to seeing a pregnant glamour model dance about on stage in a pink bunny outfit singing an awful song. Instead they got to look at Javine.
Katie had her baby and married Peter Andre. Throughout their marriage she was always supportive of his music career and convinced him to re-launch himself, viewers were invited behind-the-scenes in their reality show which saw the release of a duets album of the couple.
A Whole New World was released under the label of Sony BMG and reached the position of 20 but due to poor sales they were quickly dropped. Peter wanted to go solo and it was during this time that their relationship crumbled and ended in divorce. Katie also tried to go solo following the split and released camp club anthem Free To Love Again which peaked at number 60 in the UK chart. Meanwhile, Peter’s music career flourished, headlining his own national arena tour and performing at festivals around the country.
So what exactly should we expect from Katie Price? The US version of her, Heidi Montag, released some not very good music too and so we should expect something like that. It’ll probably involve a lot of sex noises and screams, think when Chanelle from Big Brother did her song where in the video she’s having sex in a barn…
She might even go down the Adele route and have a love album of heartbreak following the demise of two marriages in less than 4 years.
Either way, bargain bucket in Tesco in a years time?
